Specialist Lawyer programmes
The University offers accredited postgraduate programmes that build capacity for public-sector and legal professionals. The Expert in Law and Governance programme (two semesters, 60 credits, taught in English) covers comparative parliamentary and legislative studies, legislative drafting, public management and public finance, EU and international decision-making procedures, lobbying regulation, media law and IT in government, and includes institutional visits. It prepares graduates to work in legislative, governmental and administrative bodies. Related programmes cover cybersecurity law, digital child protection, EU public procurement, and economic and financial law.
Széchenyi István University’s other programmes and events are open to decision-makers and public-sector professionals for training, documentation and policy development. The University’s lifelong-learning offer includes postgraduate specialisation programmes, accredited and delivered by the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, among others. Below we list some programmes relevant to policy- and lawmakers:
- Law and Governance Specialist Lawyer;
- Cybersecurity Specialist Lawyer and Cybersecurity Legal Consultant (accredited for information-security officer posts);
- Digital Child Protection Specialist Lawyer and Legal Consultant;

The University also organises events on these topics. In February 2025 the Faculty of Law ran the Winter Seminar 2025, a short study programme on digital child protection with workshops on law, IT and governance, and a visit to the national media and infocommunications regulator. In May 2025 it organised TESIC 2025, a conference that named policymakers as a target group.
